clarity comes first
every screen should be readable at a glance. we choose the lighter weight, the softer shadow, the quieter colour — legibility is a feature, not a constraint.

support, don't distract
components are the stage, not the act. the user's design is the content; ours is the frame. transparency and blur keep their work visible underneath.

light over shadow
we delimit elevation with one soft shadow and a layer of frosted glass — never heavy borders or dark chrome. the canvas is meant to disappear.

tokens are the truth
no value is hand-typed twice. colour, space, radius and motion live as tokens and flow to every format. the docs describe the tokens; the tokens drive the product.
